Dan graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 2002 with a Bachelor of Physical Education degree after completing a double major in Exercise and Sports Science and Exercise Prescription and Management. He worked as a Fitness Trainer for several rugby clubs in New Zealand where he also ran a successful personal training business.
Dan commenced work in London as a Personal Trainer in 2006. From late 2006 he continued working part time in the fitness industry for several years whilst working full time for a private injury rehabilitation company. Dan worked as a Rehabilitation Coordinator based in insurance offices, a Team Leader for telephone case managers, and then as a Rehabilitation Case Manager helping his clients to regain their independence, and when appropriate for them to return to work.
Dan is a qualified Sports Massage Therapist and utilises a combination of massage, specific techniques, and stretches to facilitate recovery from sport/ physical activity and to help maximise performance in training and competition.
Dan is a member of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) and is a Level 3 Personal Trainer with The Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs).
