 Sports injuries are one of the commonest causes of referral to our practice. To help prevent injuries, remember to warm up' properly for a few minutes before activity. Start with gentle movements, increasing in vigour, and when warmed up, finish with some stretches. Afterwards, warm down' with some gentle activity until your heartbeat returns to normal. Whether you have suffered a pulled, torn or strained muscle, a twisted knee, an Achilles injury, a fracture or dislocation, the key to treating a sports injury is to act quickly.
